The civil war veteran passed on at the age of 78, born in Kaduna to his father from Ogbomoso and mother from Kaduna (Bachama). Attended government college Okene Kogi state after which he enlisted in the army in 1958 and led the 3rd marine commando of the Nigerian army during the civil war. The "black scorpion" died of natural cause at home in Lagos.
